'03 Cobra...how much $$?
 

Just curious...what does a new '03 Cobra cost?

I've seen them going for anywhere from $36,000 for a coupe to $40,000 for a vert. Saleens are $45,000 for a coupe to $50,000 for a vert.

I didn't even know they made an '03 convertible Cobra?? So...you're saying that Saleen is offering their version of the 2003 Cobra in both coupe & convertible? I didn't know Saleen still modded production Cobras?? So for the '03 Cobra coupe...they are around $36,000 then?

Actually, the Saleen is a supercharged GT with a different hood, skirts etc..., different suspension, custom tuned chip, blah blah blah. But, its still just a modified 2V GT. It definitely, handles better, and in my opinion looks alot better than the Cobra and produces almost as much as the 03 Cobra (375 hp). Yes, the 03 Cobra comes in both coupe and vert, and the coupe is about 36k.

Cobra's are cheaper in Canada. A loaded vert is CDN$51,000 (US$32,640) and a coupe is CDN$45,000 (US$28,800)

Wow! And that's for the 2003 Cobra??!! Almost 400 horsepower for less than $30K...amazing!

Yea, but it's pretty much at it's limit as far as mods go. As for the Cobra, very simple mods will net it a crap load more power.

The MSRP on Cobra's isn't 36K, but the dealers mark them up.

Ok hold on.

SALEEN does modify 03 Cobra's. Owner's choice of coupe or vert. The production S281s and Extremes can be found on dealership lots for the above mentioned prices and higher Extreme($60K).

The 03 Cobre coupe goes for $34K MSRP and $38K for the vert.

Many are being sold for MSRP or lower since the volume of Cobra this year will exceed 10K.

Before I bought the 2002 GT, I started talking about a Cobra. And on the one they had in stock, I could get X-plan pricing. Pretty good if you ask me, especially since the price in Canada is already much lower!

An 03 Cobra with the Saleen package would be SWEET!. Question though. Can you get it direct, or do you have to buy the Cobra, then send it to Saleen?

Just answering the question asked by giving the information I had off of the window sticker. I think most people know whatever the dealer is asking can usually be knocked down in price.

Wow, more than 10K produced? Thats alot. Hell, I think they should stop making the Cobra and just make the standard model with the 2V 4.6, and the SVT version instead of the GT. I know it would be more money, and marketing has to appeal to buyers, but if they are mass producing them, it should cut the factory's cost. Tell me that wouldnt be sweet :D
