91 Fox Body with 86 5.0
 

I have a 91 Fox body with an 86 5.0 and 5 speed manual. The original motor was a 4 banger with automatic trans. I have an 86 harness, do I need 86 dash and will it match up mechanically to the 91 chassis. Have an 86 computer. Suggestions pls. HELP

It will match up to the car just fine. You will just need to get V8 motor mounts etc..

The rear end in the 4 banger will have to go cause its a 7.5 and it wont hold up to the V8.

Also the 86 5.0 HO doesnt have Notched pistons so you really cant put much of a cam in it. It also has a 58mm TB and E6 heads which really suck.

I have some E7's from an 88 5.0 HO and the stock 60mm TB. I will sell them to you cheap just to get them outta my garage if you want them PM me.
