1986 customs cold air intake.

I have an 86 GT and i have a bbk cold air intake kit standered mount. I wanted to run a hose form the filter to my fog light hole so when i drive the air will be push up. will this work and how good do you think it will work. thanks alot

I think MARCH makes a ram air kit that has the intake below the bumper.. so i can imagine it works... in theory though I dont think you'd really gain alot by doing this... theoreticaly you'd gain power.. but I doubt you'd really feel it.

hey there i contacted march and summit racing and explained what i want to do and what i have and they told me if i run a dryer hose from my front fog light to my intake with a filter in between i will gane about 30 to 40 hp both of them said that so i will try it out and let you know.

I have to be skeptical, but I dont believe there's ANYWAY you could gain 30-40 horse power... 3-4 maybe... but go for it.. like I said, theoreticaly ram air setups can help you out... so it cant hurt..

Yeah, there is no way you'd get 30-40 horsepower from that. Like ChunkyFunky said, you'll probably get up to 5 hp max from that. A fenderwell system is pretty efficient as is. It's definately worth a shot though.
