AFR or TFS ??

I'm looking for heads, I'm hesitating between the AFR 205 and the TFS High port. I want to make 550 hp on motor and sometimes use a shot of nitrous of 125-150. Is it possible to make those hp without porting the heads. This will be on a 351 windsor, no more than 12:1 of compression and I don't want to rev the motor past 6500. Wich set of heads is the best for my combo ? any advice ?

the high port heads dont flow all that great "out of box", the afr heads come with cnc porting already done. if you are looking to pull them out of the box and throw them on i would go with the afr's. the high ports have more potential than the afr's, but your going to spend $1000+ to get the most out of them.

The other reason to go with the AFR is the inline valve arrangement, its basically the stock location for the valves, on the trickflows you need the specific pistons made for the heads, they used a different arrangement for the valves, so if you have stock stlye pistons, they may need to be notched for a big cam, the the trick flows use a specific piston

hope that helps

AFRs move some serious AIR
