Help me ASAP!! PLEZ!!
 
have an 88 cobra that i got a new motor for so i took out the tranny to put the 5.0 in and now the tranny will not shift into gear '
i have replaced the quadrent and checked everything over several times and now i have no more ideas of what it could be plez help me if you have any ideas of what it could be

What shape is the acutal tranmission in. Any gears in it messed up?

The tranny is good!
its like the cluthch it not compressing all the way in to let it go into gear! but the tranny works great

i don't know much about the newer stangs but if its a hydrolic clutch then let the car run in neutral and keep pumping the clutch petal till it lets you start entering gears then after a bit it should let you access all the gears. thats what i did when i had the same problem with my chevy blazer. i can't a guarantee that will work or that you should do that, just offering a bit of info that could help.

New stangs don't have slave cylinders (hydraulic)
It could be a few things.
Clutch fork and or release bearing?

LOL, right on now i know. are they just the wire fed types?

tranny problem!!
 
the clutch fork and release baring are good its in the cluth quadrent it will not self adjust like it should when you pull up the clutch pedal

Another question how do you put the neutral switch back in place i forgot how to??
