reading codes?
I am getting an occasional check engine light. This is a question I really should know the answer to, but I guess I don't.
What is the easiest way to pull codes? Do I just get one of those code readers from the local auto parts store or what? |

this came up just a coupe days ago.. there's two options... or three I guess..
1. use the voltmeter/paperclip method 2. get a 30 dollar reader from walmart or something 3. find a friend who has one/or a mechanic and pay him I copied the picture from a previous thread... here's how it works... though once you get the codes you'll need to post them to have poeople translate them... |
Thanks for the reply. Looks like the next free weekend I have I will pick up a reader from Wal Mart and see what I can find out.
