fuel pressure regulator
Putting a 351W in my 93. I've been told that I need a Fuel press regulator. I plan on going w/24 LB injectors, 65MM T/B, 73 Mass air Meter and a bigger pump. I don't go to the track, this is purely a street car. Do I need one of these regulators?

A regulator is always a nice tool to have. You are going to need more fuel pressure than the stock 302 39psi. A few suggestions, go with a 70mm TB and at least a 75mm MAF sensor. After your conversion is done I would strongly recommend having a chip done mainly for the soul fact your going from an ECM that is for a 302 ci motor to a 351 ci. I think you will be alot happier with the derivability and power. Is this a built 351 or a stock your just switching over?

believ it's stock. Got a good deal on a 351 w/proper headers and oil pan and even a cobra upper (I would think the lower is a cobra as well). Other than that, it's stock and I do ot plan on any engine mods. Still think I need the bigger t/b?
As far as the fuel reg goes, where is it installed? Never used one. Jayson |
the fuel pressure regulator will bolt on to the passenger side fuel rail , right behind the throttle body. You can get great deals on some of the best regulators at www.neweraperformanceparts.com . You will definitely need a custom chip burned because your load values are going to completely change with the increase of cubic inches and you will not run the proper fuel mixture and your timing tables will not be accurate either.
