Speed Density info needed

You can all sigh in relief, I know the difference between SD, and MA. What I don't know is the differences between the years of SD computers. The problem I have on my hands is I wanna make bourbon (see quote). I have the cam from an 88 (I think) 5.0 H.O. on the way, and the computer from an 86 (E6SF). I'm not possative the 'puter will work(I know I may need a rewire). Now I know that there's different programs on the Mass Air computers, but what about the SD ones? I'm mostly concerned with injector banks. I'd like to have 4. Is one code better than another? Also, if anyone knows what heads they put on those things(89 Marquis). I don't know if they're E7TE's or not. If they're not, what's the most probable combustion chamber volume? Right now the CR is at about 8.3-8.5/1. not good. (it's the truck engine) also... boy this is getting long... is it O.K. to use JUST a "shim gasket" (.015 thick) under the heads? last but not least. If I use the "shim" gaskets, and the HO cam, do I need to worry about my flat tops mashing a valve? Sorry it's so long guys, and thanx a million for the help. BTW pick on me if you want... I love my Marquis...

I have been to Butler. I worked in Altoona for 3 weeks. I an glad that I'm not there now, I have been wearing shorts to work. I am at a loss with your questions, but this guy can help:

Ok, The 88 SD cam and the 86 SD computer will work fine together. You can just use a regular gasket and not have to worry about piston to valve clearance even though you have flat top pistons. The 86 5.0 HO came with flat tops and had no clearance problems so you shouldnt either.

If you need stock E7's or the stock intake and throttle body from a 88 5.0 HO lemme know.

as far as intake ant TB, I got a spare set, but thanx anyway. Also, the TB on the Marquis is different than the mustang ones. Mostly because the upper plennum is pointing the other direction(toward the drivers side instead of the passenger). the main difference is coolant lines, and I've eliminated those, along with the smog pump an A/C. What would you want for the heads?
