Mechanical fuel pump?

Is it possible to run a mechanical fuel pump on an 87 block?

Thanks,
Nik

I don't think so. when they switched to fuel injection they changed to electric fuel pump and most likely did away with the provison for a mech fuel pump. why would you want to run a mech fuel pump?? going to switch to carb??

I'm in the process of installing an oil cooling system for my paxton :( ball dirve :( supercharger. I though of installing a mech. pump instead of electric to pump the oil thru the system.

you just need an earlier timing chain cover and the eccentric that drives the pump.. it bolts to the front of the cam..

dount it would work though, fuel pump isnt designed for the heat or thicker fluids...
