24lb injectors and 72mm massair
so what do u guys say.... sound like to much fuel for my set up??? I am ready to get it from my buddy and i dont want to over feed my car with gas... i am soon to be porting the hoods and adding 1.7rr's
thanks guys |
I think you are ready for bigger injectors and MAF meter. I would also throw in an adjustable fuel regulator. I actually think the car will run stronger.
However the most important thing to remember when porting your hood is to not take to much off the front....:D Murdock |
oh boy hood lol i am way to tired heads
thanks |
You could go to the 24 # injectors now, especially if you are getting a new MAF that is calibrated for them. But, I don't think the injectors are a necessary upgrade for you at this point.
Many people upgrade injectors earlier than they need to. I have a very similar set-up to yours with the B-cam, 1.7 rr, and GT-40 heads and intake. I am making the numbers shown in my sig with 19 # injectors. In fact, we actually had to back the fuel pressure off to get those numbers. If I am not mistaken, many tuners say the 19 # injectors will support near 300 hp. Someone correct me if this seems wrong....it has been a while since I have given thought to it. |
hey if you could post all of ur mods.. what gears do you have also are they x-heads? what does the bad boy run?
thanks |
Here are my mods:
GT-40 upper and lower intake B-cam and 1.7 rr GT-40 iron heads 70 mm TB 75 mm MAF ( I think this is right...I bought it used and can't even remember if it is a 73 or 75 at the moment) Shorty headers (Equal length...also bought used) K&N conical filter 190 lph fuel pump adjustable FPR pulleys 3.73 gear in the back I think that is it. Unfortunately I have never had it to the track. Every summer I I say I am going to go and I never make it. I guess I need someone to go with to show me the ropes the first time :). |
