bad-car sputtering.

this just started after i started my 89 gt up and left from work. when i am at a stop and go the car sputters then is alright when it gets to a higher rpm then i shift into second and it sputters again untill i get to a higher rpm. this is my daily driver and only form of transpertation at the moment and it is starting to piss me off because it is such a pain in the *** to drive. I have to drive 20 minutes to college everyday so i need to get it fixed quick.

the only thing that i can think of would be the spark plugs need to be replaced. I need help can anyone help?

Sounds like a vacume leak to me, could be wrong. An X cam with stock heads and intake? talk about a missmatch!
It could also be out of time, how much advance do you have the engine set at? When you set the timming you had the "spout" connector out right? Is the PCV plugged in? When was the last time you checked T/P voltage? I have even see a MAF sensor get dirty and cause this type of problem, carefully clean it out with Brakeclean or something similar that does not leave a residue.

Technick-- No the problem that I am having is not on the car that is in my signature. The problem that I am having is on my stock 89 gt. All it has done to it is exhaust.

I don't think that the guy that had it before me ever changed the spark plugs, because today I pulled them out and two of them broke in half and they were all white. Now I need to go get spark plug wires because the metal piece that is in them that connects to the plugs pulled out when I took them off.

And for the mismatch you are talking about, They are not stock heads, I just recently found out that they are GT40X heads, and I didn't put that in my sig. It does have the stock intake manifold on it, but nothing else is stock. The guy that had it before me, the pushrods were between 1/4 and 1/2 inch to short, and he had the air conditioning on at the line with slicks it ran a 13.01. Since then I put crane cams extra hardened pushrods and crane cams 1.7 roller rockers, 1 inch intake spacer, bbk cold air, in it. I am sure it is capable of a 12.9 or 12.8.
