Air Temp Sensor Relocate

Ok my new Lower intake is a Exployer there is no hole for the air temp sensor. The lower is too thin to drill and tap. I have heard you can move it to the air inlit tube. Has anyone done this? I have also heard that you can take a resistor (dont know specs) and loop the circuit sending a messege to cpu that air is cool. Anyone hear of that?
Thanks

Well I found a page that tells about resistors. I'll post it.

I dont think anyone has had any problems tying those things up out of the way and letting it read ambient air temps. You might want to keep away from too much engine heat though. That 1ooK ohm resistor trick looks pretty cool. I will try it at the the track this week. The engine cooland temp sensor works the same way. Wonder if anyone has fooled with that?
