new 255 fuel pump = LOUD?!?!?

i had a holley 255 pump in the car, i now have a walbro 255 in the car, when i first start it the pump is not very noisy. It was about the same as old one, but after driving for a while it gets really loud like its having to work really hard. I noticed if i run the pump for a long time and then open the the filler cap it has no pressure, i know that when i used to filler up i had to wait a long time for all the air trapped to come out. When i first filled her up the gasket for the filler neck to tank was leakin a little but stopped. Im thinking about changing the fuel filter and if that doesnt do it im gonna drop the tank again this weekend and make sure the sock isnt collapsing. Any body have something similar happen?

my walbro (BBK) 255 has been very loud since the day I installed it.

My 155 was pretty loud too, but not this loud. Gets kinda annoying after a while. Still providing plenty of fuel pressure, so I'd assume its ok
