Cam/Brakes/Vacuum

Has anyone had a problem with brakes after installation of cam? Brakes do not appear to have enough vacuum as I have a very hard pedal until the engine runs for awhile. Thinking maybe I need a vacuum canister? Any suggestions?
Thanks

I run a vacuum canister on my 308 to keep the power brakes. What cam are you running? Usually it takes a cam with a tight lobe center and moderate duration to drop that much vacuum.

Thanks for the reply. I am running 292/512 cam with 1.6 rockers. Not really rad but good for street/strip.
