Help!!!! Klunking

Hi there, I own a 1991 notchback 5.0L and it seems every time I let my car sit for a while when I start to drive it during acceleration it seems to be fine but if I let off of the gas really quick completely I hear a god awful KLUNKING noise coming from underneath the car, kind of in the middle of the car.

If anyone can please help me and let me know what this noise could possibly be that would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!! :)

could be your U-Joints also.

How do I know for sure that it is my u-joint, I know that if there is alot of free play on my u-joint then that means it needs to be replaced but how much movement should there actually be if any? THANKS!!!

U-joints are cheap so if there is any freeplay or any question and they have not been replaced before I would change them. It is relatively easy to do. When mine started clunking, it didn't take long for one to snap. Fortunately it was the rear joint. Replacements are usually heavier duty than the stock ones.
