Phenolic spacers--Worth anything on a daily driver?

Do u guys think they block enough heat from the upper on a

90% street driven car to really make the intake charge much

cooler?

I do have the EGR riser in the intake & by-pass coolant to EGR

spacer.

I got my phenolic spacer so my upper intake would clear my valve covers.

I can honestly tell you I didnt notice any performance gain. All I noticed was that my car seemed to make peak HP about 150 rpms sooner.

For as cheap as they are, get one. I seemed to notice that my times became more consistant at the track with one. Plus, every little bit helps. Hell, I got one on my SHO!

Probably at the track and if you iced the intake they might be worth it. But on a dailey driver I wouldn't waste the money unless you need it to clear valve covers. Given enough time driveing, the heat will eventually get to the upper intake. Now at the track inbetween rounds, with ising the inatke, it maybe keepp the upper a bit cooler for the run.

I think it would be a great piece to put on your motor. They can help your motor run cooler, which is great for a daily driver. When I put mine on I noticed a drop in temperature. Not sure how much, but it was enough to show up on the stock guage. Kept it down one mark from where it was before I put the spacer on.

Do they benifit a good amount on carbed motors? Also, which would be better for a dual plane Perf. RPM intake, a 4hole or open 1"?????

Not sure about carbed motors. I remember a buddy of mine removing his 1in. spacer on his mild 350 combo and it ran a lot better without it. Idled smoother & had more low end. Trial & error I'm guessing. See if it makes a difference.
