oil pan removal
Can it be done with the motor still in the car.I'm doing this on a 90' lx 302 ...help please!!!

If I'm not mistaken, you can unbolt the engine mounts and jack up the engine enough to remove the pan. I think it also involves removing the steering linkage, but I'm not certain.

Its been done, but do yourself a favor and just pull the motor out. You will save yourself alot of headaches this way.
The removal of a 302 is actually very straightforward, and would probably take less time doing it that way than doing it all from underneath the car. |
George do your self a favor just pull the motor and oh yeah dont ask me for anyhelp lol j/p

I tried removing it once with the motor in the car. I couldn't get it out. We jacked the motor up until the intake hit the firewall. Still no go. I can't remember because it's been a long time, but either the sway bar or rack were in the way.
