 oil pan removal Can it be done with the motor still in the car.I'm doing this on a 90' lx 302   ...help please!!! |

 If I'm not mistaken, you can unbolt the engine mounts and jack up the engine enough to remove the pan.  I think it also involves removing the steering linkage, but I'm not certain. |

 Its been done, but do yourself a favor and just pull the motor out. You will save yourself alot of headaches this way. The removal of a 302 is actually very straightforward, and would probably take less time doing it that way than doing it all from underneath the car. |

 I tried removing it once with the motor in the car.  I couldn't get it out.  We jacked the motor up until the intake hit the firewall.  Still no go.  I can't remember because it's been a long time, but either the sway bar or rack were in the way. |
