Suspension HELP!!

Other than being lowered an inch, my front suspension on my 89 GT is stock.

The other day my Ball joint crapped out on the right side and needs a fix. My mechanic tells me he can fix it, but it probably won't work as nicely as it did before and I should probably replace the arm. I've never dealt with this problem before.

My question is whether I should fix it or buy tubular A-arms for it. And if I do replace them, what is the best kit? It looks like I will have to go to coil-over if I use tubular and is it really worth it?

Thank you in advance for any help.

If it helps with opinions, I'm more of a road racer, but still love to drag.

IMOHO, if you wanna just replace the broken part, then do just that.
If you wish to begin upgrading, then you can get poly bushings, and install them with the stock arm and new ball joint.

Tubulars arent really worth it (IMOHO) unless you go coilover, and that gets expensive, from my personal experience.
