T-5's call for Dexron. Its been awhile since I put fluid in a T-5 but I think its dexron 3 and take 3quarts.. I've been running a tremec in my 88GT and now my 86GT...

Use automatic transmission fluid. You could go with the synthetic. It takes just under 3 quarts. About 2.75 to be exact. (Had the transmission in and out twice in the past two weeks!)

Good Luck!

Ive heard that later model T5s need a friction modifier too? is this true?

Yes. Some of the synthetics have the friction modifier in it though. If you go that route make sure you check the bottle.

I put Amsoil atf in my 89. It's been in for 2 years now no problems.

So would B & M synthetic Trick shift be good or is Red line better and what weight would i have to get in the red line.
Thanks you guys.
