65 mustang question

I have a 65 mustang with a 302 out of a 73 mustang and after I put the engine in gas is mixing in with the oil really bad what could this be?Thanks

well,..

well, it could be one of several things, if you have a mechanical fuel pump it could be leaking, The intake gaskets could be shot, or your piston rings are shot. How many miles on the motor? try checking your compression first to see if your rings are sealing, if so, then maybe pull the intake, . good luck

I am thinking of putting a 302 in my 65 mustang too. Would you tell me anything you can about when you installed your 302? Particular problems or things to watch out for?
Thanx

I didn't really have any problems, I used the transmission out of the 73.I had to buy different engine mounts and the mounts that bolt to the frame.I used the cross member and drive shaft from the 6 cyl.I already have a 5 lug rear in it I didn't really have any problems.
