tranny problems
 

Hi there, I have a 91 5.0L notchback 5 speed. When my car idles I have no problems but when I put a load on it as I am driving my tranny makes a very rapid ticking noise usually through 1st, 2nd, and third gear, but mostly through 2nd gear is when it is the most noticable. Someone please help me identify this problem. The noise is not extremely loud but it is definately annoying loud. What could this be, could it mean that my tranny is starting to fall apart?:(

are you sure it's in the transmission?

check your u-joints also.

hi there thanks for replying, I have already checked my u-joint and it seems to be fine there is barely any play at all, could it possibly be anything else,:confused:
