Carter AFB Carb

My 65 mustang originally came with a 4 barrel and some idiot replaced it with a 2 barrel. I'm in the process of setting things straight. I got a 66 intake from a buddy of mine that had it laying around his house. My uncle had a 4 barrel Carter AFB that he thinks came out of a 69 mach I. Stamped on the front of the carb are the words "Carter AFB" surrounded by two horses. The numbers stamped on the front are 1060 followed by a sequence number. Does anyone have any knowledge about this carb?

well, how experienced are you with carbs? They're really easy to figure out and some brands are way diff. from eachother. Carters (edelb) use a needle and jet combo that can be very convenient and reliable to adjust. It's a great daily driver carb but it has caused some "bogging" headaches for other gearheads who have converted to Holley, demon, etc. Just read up on them, buy a book, search the forums, or keep asking questions here :) good luck
