new Rear end
 

Hello all, I have an 82GT and want to get a new rear end 8.8 or 9" for it but I am not sure what size (width) I should be looking for. Does anyone know what width these are? How are they measured? Would it be safe to assume the fox stangs are all interchangeable?

As far as I know, all fox stang rear ends are pretty much interchangeable. You can also use a 8.8 out of a t-bird or cougar, but it is about half an inch wider, maybe a bit more. Everything bolts up, but your wheels stick out a bit more.

86-93 and the SN-95 housings will work, just reuse your axles.. they're the same.. the sn-95 have 1/2 in wider axles.. but the housing is the same .. thats what I have in my 84...
