Slicks + Suspension = .6 off 1/4 mile....new track times

I had an awesome time at Pacific Raceways last night, there was quite a few fast 5.0's there. I also ran an awesome time and had an opportunity to run an even better time (but roasted the slicks off on launch because of "jr. dragsters" leaving water on the track).
Anyways, before suspension and slicks my best time was 13.997 1/4 at 100.47 mph and 2.141 60 ft.
With slicks and suspension these are what I ran in order of runs:
13.669@96.93 1.918 60 ft.....missed 4th gear
13.640@99.85 1.935 60 ft, hot soak
13.564@101.84 2.087 60 ft, bogged launch
13.397@102.27 1.901 60 ft....awesome launch, decent run
13.950@101.79 2.358 60 ft.....INCINERATED TIRES
13.969@100.23 2.161 60 ft, street tires, slicks, ice cooler all sitting in car with hot soak, was on my way out but they let people run slightly past closing time....This was also with a no spin street tire launch, which tells you how much slicks help :D

Anyway, i'm so happy right now, i can't wait to get my nitrous hooked up since i now have a baseline.

Nice, Slicks make going to the track much more enjoyable.:D

I had a few people tell me the same thing, Skyler, i think if i can heat up the tires a little more and get more consistant with my launch i'll be able to experiment with shift points a bit more.
As for what's done with my car:
1.7 roller rockers, E7 heads with thermactor bump removed, 1 5/8" shorty headers, 2 1/2" H-pipe and Stinger cat-back, 3.55 gears, stock T5, A/C removed, interior partially stripped, trick flow street intake, 70mm throttle body/spacer, Fenderwell induction, 70mm MAF, 30 lb/hr injectors (prep for nitrous).
I could gain a bit more by cleaning up my headers, and especially by gasket matching intake to heads and working heads a little bit, but i want to rebuild another engine anyway and i figure the nitrous will help a bit....plus if it blows up no big deal :D
I have a B-cam and GT40 heads ready to go (i will gasket match heads and port them slightly) and i'm going to port the lower trick flow intake at some point, but i've decided i'll have a new bottom end to go with this stuff rather than my 130,000 mile band-aided block.
Hopefully as the season goes on, i'll be able to get my launch down, but i really need a line lock for my burnouts plus my trac-lock is showing signs of wearing out (did my first one wheel peel ever at the track), so the right tire was sticky on my 13.5 launch and hte left wheel was cool so it went a little sideways.....
there's always something i need to improve

i had a similar experiance at idalou last friday night. I went to wolf racecraft in Arlington a week ago and put all their stuff on my car. I had a best of 11.97 at 121.97mph. New best 11.44 at 122.95 mph. I went from a 1.95 60 ft to a 1.76.:D  . I only got to make 1 pass. I know i need more practice now. The 60 dissappeared so fast (for me) i wasn't ready for the 2 shift. I was barely ready for the 3 shift. It was a very cool feeling. :)
