Is N/A worth it?

My prevous car was tuned quite good, and i loved it,but in the end i felt the need for more power,so instead of an engine swap or turbo i bought a 2000 gt mustang,so now i'm wondering, should i start saving up for a turbo or supercharger or have fun with N/A tuning. Is it possible to get over 300RWHP without forced induction, and by forced induction i also mean no Laughing gas,i know some people consider NO2 not to be forced induction, but i do.

probably with some head work a new intake system and bump the comp way up with better pistons but i don`t think the engine would be to reliable

you could probably get there N/A but why spend all that money fooling around with bolt on parts for minimal gains. Save up and by a S/C. watch E-bay or check the classifieds here and maybee get one cheap...

How much would a twin turbo(or single) lower my engine life? And how bout a supercharger? Also how much horsepower is safe without having to rebuild the engine?

i believe on a stock engine 8-10 psi is the max either are very reliable but both have draw backs the supercharger is parasitic but gives instant power while the turbo takes more time to spool up i think has a better power and options offering. with the turbo there is no parasitic loss so all the power your making is driven to the wheels also you can adjust boost pressure from inside the car. the downside though is need to tap oil pan for oil supply cause oil coking if engine is shut down to soon, alot of heat is produced and are almost cost prohibitive to buy. if you want to talk to somebody who has done the turbo route go to stangnet and look for snyke pete he has one on his 2000 cobra r this car is bad azz.

Well tapping the oil supply isn't a big deal, and a turbo timer will let the turbo run for 2 or so minutes after you've turned the car off.I would like a turbo because you can mess with it more, plus the blow off valve sound is just amazing.:D A supercharger on the other hand offers power right away, plus it's cheaper.I guess i'll think about it while i'm saving for it.

NA is a waste. It absolutely sucks to beat up on a Z06 with only bolt-ons. :D

Only the decent ones. Actually I started out on this board a long long time ago..before the days of Stangnet or Corral.

About time you need some new numbers. :D
