Tattoo People Help Me Out....!

Tattoo People Help Me Out....I'm thinking of getting a Tattoo... I'm not quite sure yet... but I've been thinking of it for awhile, I think I want to get one of my back, not to sure as of yet... my g/f or ex now I guess kinda gave me the idea by her personality but that is another story. I was thinking of having an angels back with it's wings out, but I want to be able it to show that it's like the devil kinda of thing. But I wanna kinda resist from putting a picture of the devil on my back (cause it could piss of my parents even though I'm 18, but I respect them), so maybe just an evil angel. lol Anyone have any other ideas for a tattoo... and/or can draw me out maybe out my idea. I know we have a few artists on this board. It'd be greatly appreciated.

The meaning behind the Tattoo is she looks like an Angel, but she is the mean ***** when you see the real her. It may be something I can never get rid of, but let me tell ya, it's a small price to pay to show her it and say it's how I see her. Sorry I'm venting, onto a new subject. This is why you love Mustangs, they don't mess your head up like this.

Thanks Again,
-Sam.

A tattoo in general? or the one I'm thinking of?
I am putting it in a place you won't be able to see it unless my shirt is off, and since I live in Canada and there is no real beaches that isn't to often.

I got six. when i was younger, and now i regret it.The 1st one i got was when i was in the service, and the just become"add-ictive" if you get my drift. You never stop at one,at least i dont know anyone who did.As you get older they fade and start to look just plain crappy. If you get one anyway make sure its somthing that is going to be an expression of who you are,not who you were when you got it, cause lets face it your 18 now,but this tat is gonna be with you all your life---- think about it!!! I got a grim reapermon my right forearm when i was 20(stupid me) i loved it back then, but now i cant stand it,everytime i meet someone new and i shake their hand ...they see this evil thing on my arm!!!! They must think im a devil worshiper or ive been in jail!!!! So just think about it and make sure its what you really want!!!!!!;)

Yeh, I would put it on my back so no one could see it, and probably only stick to one. Although a girl I work with I got a pretty good idea from her husband. For there 10th Wedding Anniversery he tattoo'd her name underneith his wedding band, so when he wore it you couldn't see it, but when it was off, her name was there. He had like 15 other tattoos also. And you can always get tattoos re-done to look good again. Who knows, it's something I've been thinking of for a long time so I'll have to see still.

if shes yer ex, then why exactly would you want to permanently have something added to yer body that would constantly remind you of her?   maybe its just me but it just dont make sense.

now dont get me wrong, the idea of what yer lookin to have done sounds pretty cool, you just gotta really be sure that its what you want.

the one i have right now took me a long time to decide if i actually wanted it, and ive been debating on getting another one. my advise to you would be something simple: get the picture on paper, put it in a drawer for like 6 months, then take it out after the time has passed and see if you still really want it. (thats advise from the artist that did my tattoo)

thats my $.02

I'll be 38 and wanted one forever!! I finally got mine on my bday last July! ;) And, it does have meaning, and I find myself wearing stuff so it does show....I get loads of compliments on it, and I can cover it w/ higher waisted shorts if I want.....
But they are right, think long and hard as to what and why before you do it...you got alot of years ahead of ya yet!!! And 'coverups' are EXPENSIVE!!! :)

I agree with pokey...get a pic, put it in a drawer and look at it 6 months down the road...nice idea

Think how your future wife is gonna feel when a tatt depicting your ex is staring at her when she gives you those 'after a hard day' back massages ;)

You definately need to find a drawing of what you really want then hold on to it. I got my first tatt when I was 20 very small and hidden. This year I got my second a little bit larger and on my back. I knew what I wanted for 3 years just took some time to have it drawn out. I love it, my husband loves it and it is hidden to those I don't want to see. You have to be 100% sure of what you want and that you find a good shop to have it done at.

I've had my oldest one for almost 20 years, and I don't regret them one bit. I got them for me, though. The first was my own design, and it was about me, not some ex. You have to do what feels right, but think long and hard about it.

good point

its gotta be about YOU! and something about YOU! and ALOT of thought goes into it..just dont do it on a whim....just think long and hard about it....I hate to see really young people w/ tats that they will regret. Took me 37 years to get mine...and I know I will NEVER regret it! ;)
if you get it, I got a great guy in Baytown(close to Houston RaceWay Park) :) that can do ANYTHING! GO TO SOMEONE REPUTIBLE!!!!!!!!!! :D

Dude, I've got 4. So far 1 for every year since I have been old enough to get one. This one is on my left bicep and goes about halfway around my arm. It is the first one I got and it was cheap. It now looks like crap and I need to have it touched up.

This one is my favorite. I drew it in college on day. I was trying to find a way to hide a pot leaf in tribal art and it came out looking just like any other pot leaf. So I did a little coverup and this is what I came up with.
