Studdering Mustang

Hello everyone, I'm new here and this is my first post. I have a '98 Mustang GT with 79,000 miles. Lately it's been studdering really bad at idle. The RPMs just go crazy from 500 to 800, I know that's not a big margin but they just go REALLY bad from 500-800 at idle. The car just shakes a lot, it feels like it's going to turn off but never drops under 500. It also studders really bad when I'm going about 40-45 and I accelerate a little. It almost doesn't want to go. Anyone have an idea on what could be wrong?

P.S. My plastic intake manifold just cracked (studder came first). I did a search on the net and found this site: http://public.fotki.com/trsi/ford_i...ewcomments.html Why isn't Ford doing anything about this?

replace your spark plugs and wires this should get rid of it i had that happen to me before i hit 27000 miles while your at it should buy some better coil packs accell is the best and get the set for under 100.00.
