Tire Wear

Hey guys,

I've been having a problem on my '96 GT with the outer edge on the front passenger tire wearing out super fast. I've had the car aligned twice since I got it, which was 2 years ago and it always kills my front-right tire's edge. I've got no idea what could be causing this. Any ideas? Anyone ever heard of this happening on these SN-95 models? Any help would be great!

You might want to try a different allignment shop. If they don't care to know your weight than they aren't doing it right. If you are a heavy person, they have to calibrate that in to the allignment or it won't be done right.

Well,

Here's the deal, I'm 6'1" 260 lbs, but I don't drive the car, my girlfriend does, and she's 5'2" and she's fit, so I highly doubt it's a weight problem. Also, since she drives it, which means soft and nice, I also doubt the wear is due to plowing into turns at high speeds.

I'm really at a loss with this problem since the most logical things don't seem to apply. :(

hey....on my car that tire is near BALD! and the others still have tread. it took ford nearly 10 alignments and 7-8 months to figure out why my car was vibrating and eventually caused that tire to wear faster....the rim was bent! only a little bit, but it was bent! make sur eyou check it out! the added vibration wears it down much faster....
