exhaust?
Hello.
I just bought a '03 mustang GT. It is a 4.6 of course, but it has dual over head cams, 32 valve, and 300 horsepower. I was wondering anyones opionion on what type of exhaust I should go with? |
Its not a GT then buddy that would be a cobra with DOHC 32 valve.
|
IS this a mach 1 or a GT. The GT is SOHC and 260 HP. Anyway , any aftermarket cat back system and X/H pipe will do. They are basically all the same except for the high dollar units ( Borla ). No big mystery!

umm it's not a cobra there the 2003's have 390 |
Whatever you have, congratulation! Either way, you can benefit from an aftermarket mid pipe (H, X or Pro-Chamber) and a cat back. If you are not concerned with emissions, an off road pipe will give you the best sound an offer a slight performance gain over a catted unit. If you go off-road, make sure to pick up a set of MIL eliminators. Have fun!

So the stock 2003 GT not cobra, not march1 the basic GT has 390 horsepower??? Thats awesome from the 260,225 and 215 gt's.

'03 Cobra: 390 hp
'03 Mach I: 305 hp '03 GT: 260 hp (for anyone who was confused) |
As far as the exhaust question, I love the sound of my Magnaflow X-pipe and catback.

Thats what I said to begin with and that guy said i was wrong....TRipSOber said i was was wrong"umm it's not a cobra there the 2003's have 390" soo ummm yea

I like the Magnapack catback. They seem to be getting more popular. They are stainless steel and cost half the price of the Borlas. A lot of people will recommend matching it with an X-pipe. I decided to be different, and got the Off-road H. I really like the way that it sounds. If you want to hear a clip of it click here
