http://www.vintage-mustang.com/ http://www.mustangsales.com/ try ebay too... I've seen a few shells on there before.. |
Don't know where you are but a big swap meet, for exaple Carisle in Penn, is also a great place to find a good deal.

Good rolling bodies are very hard to find since they last about 10 minutes on the for sale listing. There are salvage outfits and private individuals always lurking around for these rare finds.

thanks for the info, iv been checking the websites, not quite sure how far out of Califorina i want to go but i may have found a car, anyone know if a A, or K Code fastback that has all original parts and just needs to be put back together is worth $2500?
Steven PS, Not sure if its original motor, is the fastback worth that alone? |
I paid $3,500 for my '65 fb initially (1997) and although the body was fairly good and lacked major rust, still required "rotisserie" restoration effort. The initial price isn't what costs, its the restoration that follows that gets expensive.
In respect to other examples, a friend of mine got $4,000 for his partly disassembled 1970 Mach I Cleveland 4v. It was a good rust free car he'd owned for 18 years but fell on hard times due to a nasty divorce and just couldn't afford to put it back together. Rather than let it rot in the back yard he sold it to someone wanting it - I should've bought it but had I, my wife would've divorced me! |
