Cobra intake and 65mm on Speed density?

I have the 86 motor. The intake and throttle body are even smaller that 87+ and the heads suck. Would this be a good subsequent mod? Is it going to cause any drivability problems? And lastly (and most importantly!)would I notice an increase in horsepower? Thanks in advance.

It probably work. I'm speed density too and trying to build a similar setup. A guy post me a reply and he said that he have stock ported 88 head, explorer intake, 65 mm tb, 1.7 roller rocker. You have to keep the stock cam on the speed density. If you wan't to have cheap combo port your stock head and intake, 1.7 rr, 65mm tb.

I had all that stuff on my '88 when it was still speed density. It ran fine.
