94-95 cobra kill

Ok, I got the car running and it is really rich and set to only rev to 5K instead of 6.2K but I was out having driving it just to enjoy it. I am on my way home when I am sitting at a light (two lanes each way) and I notice SN95 headlights behind me it really late (around 2 in the morning) I have a car beside me. As I take off as soon as there is room the cobra nails it and whips along side me, I down shift to 3rd (could have gone to second) and I notice its a cobra. I nail it and by 4500 in third I have a lot of cars (probably 10-15). He can't beleive it and looks dumb founded but wants to go again this time I am at about 2700 in 4th I leave it in 4th and he nails it I hit it and we are side by side tell about 3000-3500 at which point I put many many cars on him. He comes along side me again and gives me a thumbs up I return the gesture now they want to go again (I assume to just see me go) so I drop it down this time and with a quick bark of the tires put on bus lenghts.

We never got a chance to talk and I don't think he ever got a chance to hear the blower whine, so he is probably wondering why a stock looking LX coupe with a-pillar gauges was so fast.

Man I can't wait to tune it and run it to 6.2K FWIW it made 10# at 5K.

FWIW:

I took the car to the dyno last night and got only one pull before the right front rocker arm came loose I shut it down at 5900 on the first run and the dyno was still going up a little, it put down 449.9rwhp and 436rwtq. I took it apart last night after the dyno and got it straightened away and it pulls like a monster up to 6200 so hopefully I will have it back on the dyno real soon.

Good Kill. I can't wait to come up there in a few weeks to see that beast beat up on some cars.

Nice. ;)

I can't wait to hear some track times out of her. Do you get most of your stuff from Dayton 5.0? A friend of mine got his heads there - said that they (Mike) are good people.

Keep us posted,
E

I should have it at the track in the next couple of weeks.

I get most of my stuff from Dayton 5.0 they have always given me good service and good prices. I mostly just get parts from them I don't have them do the work because I like to work on my car but, the workI had them do was the rearend and it has never made any gear noise. I got my heads from the but they were ported by CFM performance in Indianapolis. I can honestly say that Mike has never tried to just sell me something he always trys to sell what he know's works and I respect that. If you want more info on Dayton 5.0 or just want to meet some other local stangs try this link

Stock bottom end Sedanman? Those are impressive #'s! What size pulleys are you running with the S-trim?
