Can someone tell me how to connect my radio?
I have a 1970 Mach1,351C.Great sound, but a little music on long drives would be welcome. The radio has never worked. I had a look and no wires were connected. There are 2 connectors with 2 wires each on the radio. One has yellow/black and blue/red wire. Other has 2 black wires. Which wire is what? Thanks. |
Yellow-black is power (+12v switched) and blue-red is dial lighting.
You should have a mating connector for each located near the radio. On early models there is a flying lead coming off the fuse block that is used for radio power. This wire may be solid black. The dial light power. Find a blue-red free connector on your harness and plug it in. Dial light should dim when instrument lights are dimmed with dimmer control on headlight switch. Two black wires should be speaker wires. |
