escort wagon garret tubo suggestions

#1 a friend dropped by and lets us know he has a rebuilt 1.9 CFI motor since his car got hit before the new engine whent in.
#2 my Dads 86 wagon has had a head bolt problem for ever.
#3 Dad gives us the wagon.(which also has some spare parts in it like a T-3 A/R .48 an old n20 bottle lines but no sylenoids)
#4 there starting a import race only series only rules fwd 4 cyl
#5 I think getting beat by a old escort wagon would humble some of these ricers , I would like to swap it to multiport fuel injection and add the turbo but cant find any info on the web.(got alot of hits on escort)
#6 I got out voted on putting a 302 in the back with direct drive from the trans to a 8.8 rear .

so does anyone know of any escort sites(car) or good info on swapping from cfi to multiport. i have one friend who claimed it was pretty involved and the maf on those cars sucks any how so he wasnt much help.

I know guys here have swapped speed density to MAF and back and forth .

I dont know much about 4 cyl fords as ive never owned one before but this would solve our problem of the wife wanting to race also.

the car will be gutted and i found out my old 10 holes will fit.

any help will be apreciated and maybe it will work out.

I dont know man converting a non turbo car to a turbo car with junkyard kit is a pain in the @ss and on top of that you will have to find out how to make it MPFI.

If it were me I would throw a carb on that car with a healthy shot of Nitrous.

Easy, Simple and fast.

Here is one Escort Website I know of - FWIW

Ford Escort Owners Association

How 'bout you just buy this: (From EBAY)

http://ebay1.ipixmedia.com/abc/M28/_...2223/i-3_B.JPG

1994 Ford Escort RS Cosworth

Not for the faint of heart 345 BHP

All wheel drive 5 Speed manual

Turbo Charged RS Cosworth Engine

3800 miles

Free flow exhaust

Oversize fuel rail

Hi press fuel pump

Hi flow Injectors

Remapped ECU w/chip

Cold Air intake

Rally spec wheels-factory

Quick release MoMo steering wheel

Recaro Seats

$3000 Sound system

If you do not know what this is, find out! This is a personal import into the US in only very limited numbers (under ten I believe) The car was involved in minor accident to the rear quarter panel and because the parts could not be imported in a timely manner, the insurance company totalled it out so the car has a rebuilt NH title VIN WFOBXXGKABRY93636

I want to buy it and say I smoked someone in an Escort. But I'm biased because I already own an Escort. :D

am i the only one that thinks that sounds a little shady? minor accident, totalled it for one rear quarter... i dont know my escorts but that just looks like a body kit, couldnt a regular escort panel fit? hah i guess im a bit skeptical after reading that story of the guy that bought the stolen beamer m3 with the screwed up title

thanks guy's I'm still having some problems getting the engine out of the car. only the second time I've removed CVC joints.

I have decided to make an encloser for the cfi and keep the turbo down to 5 lbs and look for a 95 SFI harness and computer and intake.
