Getting Really Wierd !
 

Update on my mystery illness. It went away completely for about 120 miles or so. Then on the way home at almost exactly the same place on the road it started again! This is the wierd part, the car is in drive and then jumps into neutral, the stick is still in drive but the tranny goes into a neutral like state and the the car shuts off. I pull over turn off the key and the car starts right back up and away i go for another mile or so then it does it again. NOW the really wierd part, I notice the THEFT light starts blinking really fast then the car dies and WON'T start. I crank on it a few time and nothing. Wiggle wires etc.. etc.. and still blinking theft light. After 10-15 minuets I put the key in and no theft light, turn the key and away i go. Car runs like a champ. WHAT THE HELL IS IT?????? Any ideas???

Its time to get your codes read if you haven't already...

My gut feeling is maybe something with that POS factory anti-theft...

will the codes read if there is no check engine light? I've got no lights going off, only when it is acting up.

If the Anti-theft is killing your engine (which I think is the case), there should be a corresponding code...

Go to Autozone or something and get it done for free, you've got nothing to lose at this point...
