Theft racovery System,
 

Is there anyway, ( easy ) to defeat the Theft Recovery system? I think mine is going bad and messing with the car, ( shutting it off ). Can you just unplug the thing or something to that effect?

The 98's theft system is a ***** that is integrated into the computer. I have heard of some folks being able to turn it "off" via an aftermarket chip, but most companies don't like to do it and from what I hear, can lead to other problems.

Did you get your codes pulled?

No, have not pulled codes yet. Can they be pulled if no "check engine" light is on? I may just try a new computer, If it's not the problem at least I'll have one in stock!
