Weld wheel fender space

Does anyone run the 15X8 welds with 5.5 backspace on a turbo coupe rear? If so, is there enough space to run some 10.5 inch slicks without rubbing? I'm going to roll my fender lip so I'll get a little extra space. I figure that the 10.5 inch slick will stick out about 1.25 inches from the rim and the rim will stick out about 2.5 inches from the hub flange, so that's 3.75 inches from the flange which if I measured right should be really close to fitting in the wheel well. Anyway, how much space is there with a stock axle? Also, do 15 inch rims clear the quad shock mount on the rear end? Cause as far as I can tell if I don't have quad shocks I could run a mega wide rim as long as it stuck way in instead of out. Anyway, Thanks guys.

Shouldnt be a problem. I know several people running 10.5's with the SVO rear.

The svo rear must be different then the 93 cobra rear then. I went to put in my 4 lug disc rear in but after doing some measuring i figured out my 15x8 draglites with 5.5 backspacing wouldnt clear the quarter with my 275/60/15's. The disc rear is 1.5 inches longer than the drum rear which calls for an additional 3/4 inches of backspacing per rim. So im gonna have to buy some new rims again to be able to put in that rear. By the way do they make a 6.5 backspacing for a 15x8 draglite????

275's are wider than a 10.5 slick

shouldn't be too much wider. 275 millimeters is 10.8 inches

If you measure a 10.5 slick you will see its not really 10.5 wide.

Anyways I dont know what the backspacing is on my friends rims but it works.

Hope you figure it out.
