Does this sound right? E7's milled .035 no detination with 10 deg & 87 octane??

I had them decked .035 and due to gas prices i was running 87 w/10 degrees initial timing seems i should of raised the compression a good bit but no pinging @ 10* still 87 octane??
does this seem possable?
Also i home ported heads and intake, opened exhuast to stock
gasket open them up a lot, gasket matched intake ports about 1" deep ,I also port matched lower intake (head side) took out a lot of aluminum even wore a hole in #5 runner. anyway do you guys think i should raise fuel press.?
Thanks sorry so long...

My stock heads are also milled and ported. I have ran as much as 18 degrees of timing with 87 octane without pinging.

Man, it really fells a lot stronger, but I should've (and was told to) rebuild the bottom end at the same time(150k), but finances would'nt allow it!! She smokes a little @ WOT all cylinders have pretty equal compression 170#-180# but #2 plug stays wet with oil all others look fine? I think cylinder #2 causes the smoke & the frequent backfire during a 5200 RPM 2-3 shift? that SUCKS.
But still power is definetly UP!!:D

Yea i run about 14* of timing with 87 gas, and my gt-40's were milled .010 i do know i have low compression explorer heads.

At the track i wouldnt chance it, so i always put in texaco 93 first, then bumped timing to 16-18:eek:
