does my clutch need adjusting?

I've got a pure stock LX 5.0 with 87k on the trip. Lately, it's starting to get difficult to get into gear. I don't necessarily think the synchro's are going bad but think maybe a clutch adjustment would help. I've seen before where it's simple to do; just pull up on the clutch pedal? please help. any other ideas? thanks.

Re: does my clutch need adjusting?

Yep, if the cable isn't tight enough it will be hard to get in gear because the clutch isn't disengaged all the way. You're right about how to adjust it too, but with mine the stock quadrant kept slipping, so I replaced it with I an aftermarket quadrant.

Bringin back bad memories for me heh,
do yourself a favor and replace the quadranr, cable, and maybe throw in a firewall adjuster for complet adjustment on what fits you best.

Whoever thought up the stock quad setup should have been beaten on and about the head area instead of congratulated.:D
