Cam change do or don't

Well, I am currently running a Crane 2030 and am considering going to a Comp cam 281HR. What improvements do you think I will gain or lose. Is anyone running the comp cam? if so how do you like it and how does it sound? TIA

not knowing you or your car, a cam change won't doo much good without good heads, intake, and exhaust to help the motor breath..... a cam is just one piece of the puzzle....

------------------
Black,84 GT,ground effects, shorty headers, 'open' dual exh.,302 HO(no pollution control crap),T5,89 ported heads, edelbrock Performer manifold, Edelbrock 2122 cam,600 Holley, high volume oil pump...

4:10's on their way!!!!

Your current cam is good for a NA or even a NO2 equipped car, the other cam is specifically designed for applications involving a power adder of some sort.

My car has all the usual things. Edel. 6032 heads, RPM intake, 75mm TB, Pro-M 75, 30lb injectors, ProCharger seeing 10psi. Plus gears, tranny and straight line suspension mods. This is really a tide me over motor till the stroker gets built so trying to weigh out if any gain is there. thanks
