speed density

guys,

I need to know if I can keep my speed density with the following mods...

gt40 hds, explorer intake, 1.7 roller rockers, shorty headers h pipe (no cats), flowmaster exhaust, I do have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and I figure I will have to play with the tune a bit , but will it work ok , or do I have to go mass airflow?

thanks

I would say yes, the only thing i'm wondering about is the 1.7 rockers hurting the vaccum thus the the map sensor reading> but it's not that much more lift, my 86 gt has the same stuff but no 1.7 rockers, if it idles crappy change the rockers back> 86 pistons have no valve releifs :(

shouldnt be a problem at all just set the fuel pressure around 38psi and u'll be set....

SPEED DENSITY :) :) :) :) :) :) You can do what ever you want. That is and old myth, Crap, bull, what ever you call it. If your car is an 86, then you will have P to V issues but thats it.

I still got speed density and have no problems.

Here a tip though with an 86 with un-notched piston you can run trick flow twisted wedge heads and a mild cam.

The trick flows dont use the stock valve reliefs.

With what you listed even with the 1.7's I think it will all work. Just check all your clearances.
