gas problem
 

I have a 91 Gt and when i go to get in the car and am bout to start it, when the gas is kinda low, its says that I have a little under 1/4 of a tank of gas. When I start the car it then goes down to around empty. This only happens when there is not much gas in the car. What reading is correct? Also, when I go around sharp turns or turn into a road, I can smell gas. What could this be? Thanks

it cant be good. if i were you i'd either do a lot of checking or have it checked out at a shop
