Pedestal vs. Stud roller rockers what is the deal?

is there any difference in performance. i was told that the pedestals can be mounted with out machining the head. are the studs better quality or what. just curious. i want to run some rollers but don't want to machine the heads.
thanks

Not much difference in performance, the stud mounts are just easier to adjust, as you don't need an assortment of shims. On the other hand, once the pedastal rockers are shimmed properly, its just a matter of torquing them down and you're good to go.

Just as LX5 said once you have them set youre good to go. Only deal is if your youre using high lift cam with heavy spring pressure the 5/16 bolt is not as strong as 3/8 or 7/16 stud.
