93 cobra prices
how much do 93 cobras ussually cost??? i really really want to get one soon.
|
for one in good conditon and in good running order. probably at least $5k to $6k. but it all depends upon location, condition and being able to actually find one for sale!
|
I disagree....
I don't think I've ever come across one for under 16K... There were what, only 300 made? |
The lowest I've ever found one is around $12,900. There's one local here that's got 54,000 miles for $12,900. It's red. That's the usual lowest price I've ever seen. Most are around that or more.

Your right, and here on Earth they go for at least $10k, all the ones on average I see are at $12k too.:D |
12K range sounds right actually.... the 16K number I had in my head was for one a mint one with just over 1K miles on it...

A member of this site bought one with 89K miles for either 8500 or 9500. I can't remember.
Most go in the 10-12K range. With more pristine examples going for more. Quote:
They made 4,993 1993 Cobra's. They made 107 1993 Cobra R's. |

My bad, I'm thinking of the 2000 Cobra R |

I actually like the '93's more than any other Cobra.
The ONLY complaint I have is the dash. Waaaaaaay too cheezy in my opinion... :D Damn, if someone near me was selling an authentic for 6.5K, in good condition, I'd be runnin' to the bank! |
Your best bet might be to grab a '93 GT or LX. They're alot more affordable. If you look through 5.0 Mustang & SF you'll find a deal on either a full Cobra conversion kit or the separate pieces. Of course what I'm mentioning here are only body and flashy things, the engine parts I've no clue on. Try out www.ageclassic.com for some individual parts. Cervini's Auto Designs ( www.cervinis.com ) has a GT 7 PC Cobra Conversion Kit on for $999. Includes skirts, wings, grille insert, fenders, etc. I think Cervini's would be your best bet but check out your options. I will probably just go for a fake Cobra with my '91 LX :D
|
A Cobra 'clone' would look pretty good but when you strip it down, it's still going to be a GT/LX. There's nothing like having an authentic.
FYI: The most expensive 93 Cobra I've come across was one with less than 100 miles on it. The guy was asking 22k for it. I don't know if he got that much or not. |
Quite true bro. $22K sounds pretty good for 100 miles. Was it stock or were there mods?
|
100 miles. It was stock :)
Plastic still on the seats, laminated window sticker, all papers/documentation, etc. |
the guys at www.karmustang.com usualy have a few 93 cobras with low miles but i think they are trying to get rich off of each car, usualy in the $16-19k range
|
There was someone in my area with a 1993 Cobra R with under 100 miles on it, he wanted 35k.
|
I saw a red one with 200 miles on it. On jackstands in the basement.....the whole nine yards. Last I saw someone offered 24k for it. He didn't take it. I did see a similar bone stock one go for 25k.
In general though, $8000 is on the low side with a 100k on the ticker, while they can get up to 15k with 50,000 miles on them. There is actually a car by me going for 12.5k with 66,000 miles on it. It' s a very, very clean car. Black, sunroof, a few mods, and very well taken care of. The more stock they are, the more they seem to bring. My 93' Cobra is by far my favorite mustang I've owned int the last 12 years. It turns a lot of heads around here. :D |
