Transmission problem/ or Shifter-Help

My stock 90 LX has 90k on it and for the last few months it has begun hard to get into gear. Not all the time; just some of the time. Usually, if you can let off on the brake and roll a bit, it will go right in. Is this synchros? or would simply replacing the shifter cure the problem? Been wanting a pro 5.0 for awhile anyway! thanks.

Is it difficult getting in one particular gear or all gears? Is the tranny noisy in anyway?. My 94gt sometimes gives me a little grief downshifting into 2nd unless I blip the throttle to get the revs up. I'm thinking I have some lazy syncro's or my clutch isn't fully disengaging. It seems to be worse when it hasn't had a change to warmed-up.

I don't think it would be the shifter.

Sounds like either the clutch isn't full dis-engaging or you've got some bad synchros.

tranney sounds fine. it started out being hard to get into third but now is hard getting into first too. first to second is ok and third to fourth is ok most of the time. i'm betting synchros. how much for a rebuild for synchros? if it do it, anything else need rebuilding while it's being done?

When I rebuilt my T-5 I went through Hanlon Motorsports, Bob's wife is the shiznit, they sell complete rebuild kits, as well as individual gears if you need them, (I needed a 1-2-R slider gear and at the time they were the only ones who sold them without having to buy a whole set),

I would also do a S.S. Bearing retainer in place of the aluminum one.
