Just bought a 98 GT. S/C questions

Hi guys, I used to have a 95 5.0 and I modded the phuck out of it but I dont know much about the 4.6 modular. I just bought a 98 GT stick with a cat back and I want to put a blower on it and I want to know which one is the most practical and the most responsive. Any info would definitely be appreciated. Thank you.

A few questions for you.
What's your price range? Whats your ultimate use for the car? What part of the powerband is most important to you (centrifugal or positive displacement blower?)

My price range is around 3 grand. The car is a daily driver, my only car. I would like something that will beef up the top end. Thanks.

The roots blower from Ford Motorsport...

Runs a good daily driver 6 psi and gets rid of the crappy plastic intake.

Thank you very much hammer. I appreciate it. So this blower comes with a new upper intake attached huh? What kind of numbers does it up up and can you swap pulleys for more boost? With a 373 gear do you think 12's are possible with it? Thanks.

btw how much is it? And what do you think of the intercooled versions from procharger?

You can get a Vortech V-1 S-Trim supercharger kit for about $3100. It'll give you a wonderful top end boost in power, but still maintain stock drivability and even near stock gas mileage if you keep it out of boost. Well, the gas mileage is a big "IF.":p
Check out www.superchargersonline.com. They sell just about every brand of supercharger, with some fairly competitive prices.

Yeppers. I run the Vortech V-1 and love it.
