fuel filter replacement

Hey everyone, I'm changing my fuel filter, but I can't figure out where the pressure relief is located. its an 88 gt basically stock except for exhaust. any help would be much appreciated

Pull the fuse for your fuel pump, start car and run it until it dies, and pressure will be relieved from system.

either that, or unplug your fuel shutoff safety switch (in the interior behind the panel behind the drivers side taillight) then start the car, and let it die. When its time to restart it, plug it back in, press the button to reset it, and prime the pump.

btw, unless i JUST got done driving the car, I will rarely release the pressure before removing a line. Just turn your head away from where its going to sray:)

There is also a schrader (sp?) valve on the fuel rail under the hood. I usually just stick a rag around that and release the pressure there.
