Trans Question

Is there a difference between a c6 and a fmx trans, If not can you put a converter from a c6 in a fmx from the same year, and also can you put a shifter designed for a c6 on an fmx any help would be gratefull.

I havn't messed with a FMX in awhile but. The imput shafts are two different sizes FMX/C6 so I don't think the convertor will work. The output shafts are the same size.

The FMX is a heavy beast. Being iron it doesn't get rid of heat very well.

Shifter, I have know idea. I would bet the only difference is rod lenght. But not for sure.

Frank.

Get tid of that FMX and pick up a C4. As was stated FMX is a big heavy beast. I did know a few guys back in the 70s (dating myself) who did run them with limited success but the advances made on C4s and the avail of parts you can probaby get C4 w/convertor for same price you can get FMx convertor
