Easy lifter question..

Does it matter what side the little oil hole is pointing when you put the new lifter in the block?

thanks guys:p

I was wondering what kind of sealant are they talking about on putting on the head bolts...

Thanks guys:p

The oil hole doesn't matter. Some people put them all in the same, when i pulled my stock motor that had never been touched before the factory had put them in different from each other. Oil fills the entire cavity around the lifter so it won't make a diff. The sealant is just high temp thread sealant. go to auto zone or some other parts store and it should be near the RTV and silicone stuff. Just ask them for thread sealant for doing head bolts.

Thanks for the tip.......

That makes it so much easier,it takes the worry out of putting the lifters in wrong ...sweet!(I wish we had a "Auto Zone"!)

Thanks again! Big Bopper

P.S. The guilt is killing me ......it's a 350 chevy I'm rebuilding:( :p it's for my winter ride....
