Brake vacuum switch ??????
 

I have an 82 GT that has a vacuum leak under the dash when I apply the brakes, at first I figured it was the brake booster leaking but I found a vacuum switch on the brake pedal that I have no idea of its purpose. Anyone know what this is for? I am going to eliminate it because I see no need for it.

Cruise control vacum dump I think. Cruise used to work on vacum once the system loses vacum it would shut the cruise off. Now its done through the brake switch electrically.

Thanks mustangman4. Never crossed my mind that was to shut off the cruise. I fugured there was a purpose for it.
